Ministries

Immanuel Christian School

Nestled among the trees of Fig Street in Morgan City, Louisiana, Immanuel Christian School’s faculty, staff, parents, volunteers, and students are “Working together to achieve excellence in education.” A ministry of Immanuel Baptist Church and a member of the Association of Christian Schools International, ICS was established in 1981.

Each day is begun with the teaching of Bible in all grades, reinforced by a weekly chapel attended by all faculty and students. We attempt, in all things to give God pre-eminence.

We have a multi-racial and multi-denominational faculty, staff, group of volunteers, and a student body which considers themselves “family”.

Our most important goal is to minister to the spiritual, emotional, social, and academic needs of our students. This is accomplished in a loving, Christian atmosphere – striving to put the needs of the students first at all times. Our challenge is to prepare each of them to face their own challenges, not only for today but also for all of the tomorrows in an ever-changing world.

Children & youth Ministry birth-12th grade

Our Kids & Student Ministry includes all kids, ranging from birth to 12th grade. We are a Jesus-focused, Spirit-filled, and life-giving ministry of IBC, who's focus is to bring to life the Gospel of Christ in the lives of kids. Our vision is to raise up and empower the next generation to advance God's kingdom, so that our students can take their next steps to a life of significance with Christ.

We are centered around discipleship relationships to foster an environment for our students to thrive on their journey with Jesus. Our ministry approach is based on a caring community and small groups where Godly relationships can develop - a gathering for students to encounter God through worship, teaching and other events, such as mission trips and summer camp.

Local and Global Missions

We are passionate about showing you who Jesus is. Whether it is in our own neighborhood or across the globe, we can tangibly express God’s love for humanity through our outreach. Join us as we extend our mission beyond our walls and share the love of Jesus in our local and global community.

+ + +

Local Missions

Our church desires to invest in local ministries and organizations that help fill the gap for people in need in our community. Our approach is to form long-term relationships, where we can invest financial resources and create opportunities for our church body to serve and share the love of Jesus.

Global Missions

The life-changing message of Jesus Christ is intended for a worldwide audience. Our purpose is to impact nations by equipping believers to "go and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19.) We partner with ministries in other parts of the world by providing short-term mission teams, financial support and other resources. At IBC we currently send a team to the Dominican Republic each year. Music

Our passion at Immanuel is to ignite a desire for Jesus Christ in the hearts of people, young and old. We pray that through our worship, you will CONNECT with God.

+If you have a desire, or feel led to be a part of the worship team, We would love to get you involved. We meet every Wednesday night after service to rehearse the songs for the upcoming Sunday. Feel free to come and sit in on rehearsals, and meet the team.

+To be a part of the worship team, one must be well accomplished in their skill, whether it be an instrument or voice, and must be able to make all rehearsals.

+As a part of the worship team, You are considered a leader in the church, and are expected to be an example of Jesus Christ, on and off the stage. You are expected to be an enthusiastic worshipper, displaying the attitude of Christ in all you do. You are also expected to be prepared for all rehearsals and all services.
